I am absolutely loving my new 1SS RJT. Admittedly though, this is my first real sports car.

I have owned nice cars that drew looks, but nothing like this Camaro does. There have been instances over the past couple of weeks that I thought other drivers were going to wreck trying to catch a glimpse.

The problem is that there seems to be a lot of haters out there on the road.

Is this fanboy envy from the ford, dodge, and import crowd? Or do these folks just dislike sport cars that much.

It doesn't bother me too much. Especially with how other Camaro owners wave and flash their lights. Never saw that between CTS owners.

I also thought it was hilarious that I got flicked off the first day I brought my new toy home. Heck, I wasn't even speeding, trying to position at a light or anything. Just saw the bird fly... Thank god for Paxil... Saved me some roadrage for sure.

Is it just that I am a noob to muscle cars, our are others experiencing the same thing?

First of all, any time I pass a ricer, I make sure they notice that I'm laughing at them. I've had several situations where they pull up next to me and rev their fart cans. I seriously turn to them and start laughing. Pisses them off, but who cares. I don't even bother trying to race them, which pisses them off even more.

As far as Mustangs, I'll give them a nod, but that's about it since they -are- driving a Ford. Challengers are pretty cool, and I give the thumbs up to them.

What he said. Don't pay attention to the haters. I get crap from the multitude of Prius owners here in Cali and I always make sure to let them hear all gas guzzling 8 cylinders as I roar past.

I have also found that many people get upset when I keep the beast under control and drive speed limit.

Agree that the imports are annoying as hell. But it takes next to no effort to leave them at the light when I want.

It is pure JEALOUSY for the haters. People that smile and give thumbs up are people that are happy with themselves and can appreciate nice things that others have.
