v6 ticking sound from motor.

after about 1k miles on the car I started to notice when I would start the car up and once it warmed up at idle it would make a tick like a lifter sound. I have a 1lt, my mom just got a synergy car and hers started doing the same thing after the 1k miles mark, at idle once warm it make a tick.

Anyone else notice this or have found a fix to TSB for it.

Well I know the fuel system can be quite noisey. Thats why there is lots of insulation around the pipes and rails. More then likely thats all it is and would be considered normal.

I think the sound you are hearing is the direct injection pushing fuel. Only notice it on mine when the hood is open. We just bought a Mazda with direct injection and the engine almost sounds like a diesel.
