SS Brake Upgrade on 2LT
Have decided to take the "big brake" plunge and am just about done collecting the necessary parts to upgrade to the SS Brembo's on my 2LT. I've read / heard that replacing the rear dust shields is a PITA, and that most folks just trim their existing shields. Has anyone actually replaced the rear shields with the SS parts, and, if so, how bad a job was it? Just looking at my car, its hard to figure exactly how difficult / how long a task it would really be. I don't mind spending a few extra dollars and a couple more hours to keep it looking "factory", but I don't want to get into a weekend long project requiring special tools and resulting in busted knuckles just to replace the shields.
Thanks in advance! |

IMHO cut the shield when we looked at doing that before cutting it appeared we needed to drop the rear end and remove a ton of parts IMHO not worth the time just trim it, clean up the trim job and paint the dust shield and install the rotors.
