Did you paint the "Chevrolet" yourself? BTW: They have lots of badges out there....just like the pic above, as well as chrome on ebay. Not sure which are the best yet, as I'm still researching ways to dress up my cover as well. I guess just make sure that whatever you put on there (badge wise) that it can withstand the head of the engine. You don't want anything coming loose and falling into your belts.

If you'd like to dress up your engine cover with the screws, but don't want to actually drill into your cover, I'm selling cut and sanded engine cover screw kits that simply stick on with 3M automotive tape

^^^I like your "SS" emblem on your engine cover. After I bought a steel ring around my "V8" I still don't like it. Looks generic. I think I will copy you.
I took my insulation out, drilled the holes, installed the screws, then grinded them down with my Dremel, then re-installed the insulation. I didn't want screw heads coming off while driving. Sorry, good luck selling them, its a very EASY way to add screws for somebody who doesn't want to take all the time I took. |

Thanks Jeff. I got that SS and plate on ebay, but they are available in quite a few places. I really like how it came out.
I worried about the screws coming off at first too, but I used the same 3M automotive tape used to stick on that nameplate (and probably your ring), as well as the SS fender badges. After a day or two of drying, they are on there strong. I could probably take off the entire engine cover by pulling on the front two screws with my fingernails I think I've read even the GFX are held on by 3M automotive tape!
