Camaro's Visibility

So im looking through the forums, and i couldnt find too much on just the overall viewing experience when driving a camaro. I went to a car show couple months back, and was able to sit and get a feel for the car. It was very low compared to the chevy malibu and mustang. I was wondering if this will be a major problem when driving it.

No problem for me.

When i'm in my Impala police car now I feel like I'm sitting in a truck, much prefer the view and feel of the Camaro.

I thought it may be and it felt like that for the first day. You get used to it real quick and it becomes second nature to look and as long as you adjust your mirrors you shouldn't have an issue. Have fun on your test drive!!

I can see great, forward or backwards. Try driving an S2000 or an HHR.

10,000km & 8 months later.. I still think the visibility sucks in this car.

You can't get used to poor visibility & anyone who tells you otherwise is blinded by just how hot the Camaro is.

But you can get used to the fact that you're going to have to deal with it and do your best to compensate for it by using your mirrors to their fullest if you want to enjoy the Camaro. It more than likely will make you a better & more alert driver.

Is it worth it? For most people... a resounding Hell yes!

PS : After driving a while.. you do get better at gauging distances around your car if you're worried about that. But you will have to work harder to see things in this car.

PPS: You are likely going to have more visibility issues due to the crowd of people around your car everywhere you go.... I still get harrassed every time I take it out....exactly the same as I did when I first got the car last September. A little suprised about that.

I still can't parallel park this thing, due to the fact that I'm still not 100% sure what my rear clearance is - on my old Galant, I was sure and could parallel park like a champ. I need to practice on this one.

Use your mirrors and you should be fine. The only time I've had a problem backing up was when I parked in an angled space that sloped down. I couldn't see behind me to the right just by turning my head. It just meant I had to be extra careful to use my mirrors and look behind me, though.
