In December can the dealer order theirs first?
Please someone tell me I'm wrong. My understanding is that RIGHT NOW the dealer can only pre-order cars for a person (you, me, whomever). HOWEVER, sometime between now and December when our orders are actually "dropped" to the factory, the regular order system will be available for the dealers to order their own (lot) cars like they do with every other vehicle right now. When that happens, can the dealers simply push our orders back and order a few for themselves first?

if you pre-ordered your car its considered a 'sold-order' as in once GM gets it, they are making it FOR YOU.
and the dealers won't be able to order more until i believe Q3 next year (like sept?) i'd double check on that with a few other members. but December 2008 is a big negative ghost rider

i highly doubt the dealer will drop your order to the back. . the logistics of this doesn't make sense.
Lets push these 2 SOLD cars back to the end and order some more in and hope they sell. See what I mean?

it would create a tremendous s**t storm if they started that playing that angle. years ago the dealer could keep you in the dark. we're too well informed now. information availible to us now makes it harder for them to lie.

...it's safe to assume that the fair share of people are getting their Camaro @ or below MSRP, mainly enthusiasts. Now get the average guy off the street, who doesn't have a clue about ordering and I could see the dealer getting way over MSRP if there are only 3 or 4 on the lots. That's what scares me a bit. |

My dealer said after his allocation is all sold it will be late summer or early fall before he can get a "lot"car for the showroom.... If i had wanted a Silverado he's got 25 of these collecting bird poop on the back lot...
