on my preorder form its says priority 1 does that mean im first with the dealer

There's mixed reactions about exactly what that priority number means.

For what it's worth, I was told I was the 3rd at my dealer to order but mine says Priority 1.

don't know if this is right but what i heard is they can assign any number to anybody as a matter of fact the could assign number 1 to everybody or they could follow an order and the #1 would be the first car they get. Not sure what happens if they give all of their allocated sales orders priority #1.

Can someone confirm this or correct this?

All dealers will finalize orders at the same time in December. The Priority number is what the dealer uses to determine which orders get delivered first.

It was my understanding that all customer orders are Priority 1 so that they are delivered before the dealers stock.

I know for sure that all customer orders are not priority #1 other members have posted that they have different numbers

My dealer has all 16 of their allocation currently coded with priority #1.... Now I just have to figure out how I can get them to make the other 15 priority #2 or greater.....

Frankly, I don't think the priority number means anything just yet. And certainly there is no one who has been able to definitively say. We have talked about sold orders versus dealer stock and lots of other things. I think the best answer is to make sure you are working with a dealer that you trust and we will each get our car as soon as GM can make them.

I was told priority #1 means a sold order. I was #1 at my dealer and I go by there about once every two weeks or so just to help our relationship some (new to the area and needed to find a good dealer to buy cars from and have work done)...they had a total of 13 allocations and have sold to my knowledge 10.

I am told repeatedly by the sales manager I am #1 and will get the first Camaro from them!

I trust them and believe the order guy (Walter) that sold orders have the #1 priority number and it's a personal dealing with the dealer as far as "what" order number each individual person is...my .02.

I am glad you trust the dealer and I hope that you are the first to get yours. But there are a lot of unknowns regarding the ordering, priority and delivery. Consider this: you ordered CGM say and the person who is #2 in line at your dealer ordered black. GM just happens to build a run of blacks before they get to a few CGM ones. Bingo, #2's comes first and you get yours later. I am not saying that's what's going to happen, just saying that your dealer doesn't control what gets produced. Another real life example: at my dealer, the person in front of me ordered white. Doubt highly he gets his before I get mine.

I may very well not get the first car but if the dealer can get me the car first before others, then I do think and trust they will.

I guess it's on me to trust them and it's my loss if they don't.

Time will tell but I think I'll be fine and have my Camaro about as soon as anyone on here!
