cant find it - Halo's on with DRL - "auto-on" - can it be done?

Ok, maybe I am missing something and I really hope I am (even though it will make me feel like an ass for posting this question)

How do I get the halo's on when the DRL come on and then have all the lights on (Halo, DRL and Headlights) at the same time... and is it possible to do all that while leaving the knob at "auto"?

I tried searching but I couldnt figure out the word combination to get the results I needed - so I apologize if this has been discussed 100's of times...

This will get you 1/2 way there.

Adapter / harness to allow DRLs and Halos on at same time RS PKG (or DRLs and headlights):

As posted above, without some kind of aftermarket harness or what not, your foglights are DRL's and can't be turned on with the halos or the halos/headlights.

Thats excellent! thanks... 40.00 or so for a pigtail and no harness cutting is worth it!

now if I could just get the halo's to come on with the DRL that would be primo.

I think I remember reading/seeing something (cant remember if it was a post here or in the manual or what) that the lights stay on for 5 minutes without the key in the ignition... is that true and is there a way to change that time interval? cause if that IS true, that might be the solution

not sure about the camaro but my Avalanche allows you to program the length of time the lights stay on after shut down.

hmm... will have to search the manual (unless someone already knows).

The dealer went through all the functions with me when I picked her up, but I was 100% focused on getting him out of my car as fast as possible instead of listening... I had some driving to do!

His harness is more expensive, but I feel the extra cost is worth it. This will allow you to do everything that you want to do. In addition, it comes with a wireless remote that allows you to control the headlight/halo/DRL wirelessly. You can also connect your wireless remote to the Camaro's homelink buttons.

If you get the little T-taps from AAC that keeps your halos on all the time. Which would accomplish what you wanna do for $10. But you do have to tap into the wiring, whereas the adaptive is just a plug 'n' play. During the day, auto= just DRL, fog= halos and DRL. During night auto=all on.

With the AAC harness your halos will be on all the time along with your fogs and at night everything will be on and you won't be able to turn your fogs off. This sound like what you want and it's very easy with ttaps and connectors with instructions.

Thanks for the positive feedback Justin, we have another harness in the works for those that just want to run their AAC halos like they were factory without having to tap into their existing harness. And it will be fairly inexpenxive.

Exactly, if you want them on all the time the t taps that AAC sells with their halos will work great, the harness that MonsterTodd is talking about is wireless and gives you control to have them on/off whenever you want at night and the wireless unit also allows you to control up 3 more great AAC products such as foglight halos, footwell lighting or other great stuff.

hmm... I can control 3 ACC products... THAT would be sweet!

Too much good stuff, it makes decisions that much harder!
