Indy 500 Pace Cars
those inferno orange with full white stripes looked great! glad there were so many cautions to get a view of them. they appeared to have wider (and slightly larger wheel size) tires in back?

I have not watched the Indy 500 for many years. I had to watch it yesterday to see the Camaros! They looked great.

Pace Cars did look great.
I think they modify the "actual" pace cars for high speed driving. Maybe different tires, etc. Have read of previous pace cars being modified. Someone on here probably has that info and will post it. Bob |

On Indy 500 opening day they told us they lowered it about an inch all around, but other than that he didn't say anything about tires. Doesn't mean they didn't put something different on there, though.
Oh, and the control box for the lights is in the trunk.  It's almost half the size of the trunk. Also, the guy giving us a speech said Chevy wasn't sure why, but IMS wanted yellow taillights, so that's what they gave them.

Ive spoken to a dealer who claims only certain dealerships that have made certain sales quotas will even be able to order them.
