I was wondering if there was a way to track down a `67 camaro if you just new it`s license plate number?-any help would be appreciated.

It all depends on how long your state holds records. I know in Ohio they only hold them for ten years. I have a plate number off my friends 1969 COPO Camaro from 1969 and the DMV in Columbus could not do anything to help me. Hope that helped. Jeff

I think they can get in trouble running plates unless there is a good reason.

Can't do that. Illegal. If say...for an accident and the other party needs your info, that's fine...but just because? Nope...we can't give out that information.

....and even on accidents, I usually don't give out the info. They can get it later when an official document is entered in the system and they pick up their copy of the report.
