Charity Cruise/ Poker run - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Camaro 5 Members,

I wanted to invite all of you guys to participate in our 1st annual “All Chevy" Cruise/Poker run for Charity. All the proceeds will be going directly to the Tangiers Shrine & The Shriners’ Hospital. Entry Fee is $10 per car or free with a donation. It will be held on August 14th (Saturday). It will start off around 1:00pm. The starting point will be H&H Chevrolet on 84th and L. The Cruise should last about 2 hours or so. We will end up back at Grandmothers Restaurant on L Street. There will be a couple fun prized that we will be giving away as well.

A little back ground on why I chose Shriners to donate to. Some years ago my sister had an Injury and my parents were going through a rough financial period. Without the help of the Tangiers Shrine and the Shriners’ Hospital she would not of received the care she needed. For those of you who are not familiar with the Shriners’ Hospital. They offer free Hospital care to children whose family can’t afford the care and treatment they need.

So this is a chance I can give back to the organization who has helped my family. Being an active member in the car community I understand how awesome car people can be. So with a busy summer coming up if you can find the time to be part of this great event or to even donate I would be very grateful.

where does the poker run go? just thru Omaha er what?

Yeah it will be around the Omaha area. Maybe as far as fremont NE. It all depends on the businesses that get on board!

Here is the route as of now! Should be fun! I wish I could add more back roads so we can open it up a little more! But that didnt stop us on last weekends run!

Great job Chris, hope you get a good turn out for such a worthy cause. Hope the word gets to the Shriner folks in Lincoln, they are also big into cars. Best of luck!
