Air sound coming from cai when turning the engine off

I installed a K&N typhoon cai a couple of weeks ago,i didnt notice it then but i get a big rush of air (Whoomph!!!) right out of the TB through the air filter when i turn the engine off. VERY noticeable. Is this normal?
if not any idea what could be causing this?

I have the CAI and I mine does not do that at all. What you are describing sounds like a back fire and that ain't right.

its not backfiring.. its just its last breath when you turn the key off.. open your hood and stand by your intake and have someone turn off your car.. you will hear what he is talking about. My M3 did it, my Corvette did it, this car does it... its not abnormal at all.

Its perfectly normal. All my cars have done that, it is true that some intakes do not do it but most do and it is not harmful to your car

It's just the system depressurizing itself.

definitely normal, especially with the aluminum tubing. I had an AEM on my Acura and did it when I turned the engine off, sounded pretty cool.

Stomp on your accelerator and let off real quick, it will do it then too. You get a quick rush of air in through the intake that sounds pretty sweet.
