engine swap or supercharge or twin turbo?

okay i have a v6 camaro. down the road i was thinking of doing an engine swap with an LS7.. okay people let's mAke this clear.. dont tell me to trade up for an SS.. I either want a LS7 down the road, thing is, people tell me its going to be alot of work, and redoing the frame and everything. So if LS7 is out of the question from the v6 swap, what would be the next best thing besides trading it in.. only reason i don't want to trade it in, this car means alot to me and sentimentle value for me.. Its the 1st car i ever bought brand new and want to keep it forever.. so i rather not trade it in.. but performance wise of those 3 options, what would be best? Swap, supercharge, twin turbo?

ok, my only concern with the turbo is, doesnt it put alot of stress on the engine? down the road making the engine go out sooner?

curious...why did you buy a V6 if you have a ton of cash lying around for power mods?

All power adders will, be it turbos, superchargers, nitrous, or whatever. The key is to make sure you also have the correct supporting mods and don't drive around at maximum boost with your foot on the floor all day long. A turbo set up will give you the ability to turn the boost down when your driving to work and crank it up when you get to the track.

twin turbo.

It's what I'm planning to do when my SS is paid off, a little different than the normal S/C or big heads/cam deals.

Sounds to me you are pretty inexperienced moddin a car, from your post. But I will entertain this, I would run a 150 shot and enjoy the car for now. Save your loot for now, and in two years take out the No2 kit, sell the sixer, and get the Z28 and you will be where you want to be, with the exclusivity and power of a pedigree car. Trust me you will be liking that idea.

I know you said you want to keep it forever, blah blah blah I hear it and said it once or twice myself but the reality is NOTHING LASTS FOREVER esp. a car. Wait til you get swiped by a minivan and the car never rides the same again. If you drive it IT DEGRADES.

Nitrous and v6 = fun and inexpensive

I figure if a stock 6banger runs 14.2 or so with a 100-150 shot you'll be well in the mid 13's

Go look at the 'Jay Leno' Camaro at jaylenosgarage.com. It's a V6 with a TT pushing out only 7 lbs of boost (I think) and he says they have it up to 425 HP. 7 lbs isn't that much.

Not true. S/C put more stress in the long run than turbos.
