A must have supercharger install tool

I put on my maggie supercharger this past weekend. This is definately one of the easier projects I have taken on in the past few years. But having this one tool in my tool box I am sure saved me a lot of time and frustration. I call it a remote access spring clamp removal tool. Not sure if that is its proper name, but that is exactly what it does.

So if you are going to do this upgrade to your Camaro, I recommend going out and buying this tool.

I added a couple of pics for you guys. One of my new favourite tool, and one of my new favourite car.

Cheers

Is that airbox home made? The round circle doesn't quite look right.

But, the package looks right!

You caught me. The airbox is homemade, it pulls cold air right out of the fenderwell where the washer fluid reservoir used to be. Works well, but definately not mass production quality.

I'm like everyone else on here. Loved my car from day 1, but this just brings it to a whole new level of fun.

Right now my car is basically stock with the maggie upgrade. I want to head to the track and see what kind of times I can lay down this weekend.

I have LG headers and 3" exhaust ready to put on maybe in a week or so. I want to swap the 3.8 pulley for the 3.6 at the same time and get a custom tune for it. I will let you know how it works out.

How does it feel stock with just the maggie upgrade ? Did you use the maggie tune ? This is what I want to do. Let me know what is does at the track.

I am using the canned maggie tune. So far no complaints. The unit is totally un-noticeable at idle or cruising speeds. But when you get on it...wow. The whine of the supercharger kicks in and you better be ready to do some corrective steering, because it seems to want to break loose at any speed with the stock tires.

Depending on the weather I hope to get to test and tune night at the strip tomorrow. They glue the track for weekend racing but not for test and tune night. So I will let you know how I make out.
