parking & curb sensor system

I just want to toss out an idea for your response. We have had several customers damage the factory GFX front spoiler, which is costly to repair. For my vehicle I built a skid plate from UHMP which does a great job stiffing up the front bumper and offers some protection from parking strips and curbs.
I need to know if a parking sensor system was developed which you could purchase for under $200.00 and could be discreetly be installed on your vehicle in half a day with simple hand tools would you consider purchasing it? Keep in mind the factory GFX front spoiler costs over $1500, and the AM spoilers and air dams could cost upwards of that.

No system currently on the market offers this type of protection as the sensors project a large cone shaped beam and thus must be mounted 18 inches off the ground. I have included the images below to show you what an installed system would look like in a stock GFX, and one that shows our skid plate.

What would the install entail? What would the indicator be inside the cabin? Can this also be connected to a rear parking assist feature? Can it attach to the existing system if there is one for rear park? (I don't have that feature, just curious).

Does the 2010 Camaro's without rear assist parking have the infrastructure to just connect into this system?

I back in, so the front system is of little use to me. however, the rear parking assist is!

Thanks,
Michael J.

What you need is a curb feeler kit. They used to sell these. It was two coiled springs that mounted to the passenger side of the car, one at the front and one at the back. When they came into contact with the curb, they made a loud scraping noise. They were cheap and easy to mount. Try an automotive accessory store. They also used to have another kit that mounted rods with colored plastic tips at the four corners of the car utilizing the head and tail light lenses to hold them in place. This would let you know where the corners were so that you would not hit anything.
