Swap GTR for the V spec, and add in Viper ACR and things get really interesting. Still a great article. 1/4 mile was close but the ZR1 crushed them at the trap. Should have done 1000m runs too, they measured 0-100 mph instead of just 0-60.

I found it hilarious that the GT-R essentially destroyed itself in the top speed run. It was also rather satisfying to witness the silence the GT-R fanboys who had been commenting on the ZR1 initial MT test article.

so what exactly is the v spec a turn of the boost knob and an extra computer?

More like giving us the actual power numbers, not the under rated ones. Crank up the power any more and you won't have use launch control for Nissan to cancel the warranty.

Oh, and they will also reduce the weight a bit.

Nissan does not recommend that you operate this vehicle. Turning it on will void your warranty.
