Laps for Charity II - September 11, 2010 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

You're the driver when Texas Motor Speedway opens the Speedway to the public for the last time this year. Experience the thrill of driving your car around the 1.5-mile super speedway all to benefit the Texas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities.

Polish up your special vehicle and come on out to "The Great American Speedway!®" on Saturday, September 11, 2010 for Laps for Charity II. Take three laps on the 1.5 mile Super Speedway behind a pace vehicle for just a $30 donation and have your picture taken in Victory Lane for an additional $10. Once again our fan favorite 5 Lap-VIP Laps Experience will be offered for $250. Laps will be conducted for Car Clubs (by reservation) from 5-7 p.m. and for the General Public from 7-10 p.m. No reservation is needed for the General public time.

You are more than welcome to join the Lone Star Camaro group for this event. We participated in the first one and we had the largest group out there.. Check out our thread here:

Thanks! We joined the DFW group last time but I was reading your thread and you guys have a lot going on that day, we might tag along for the festivities, I'll update you on names when we get them since we have members that don't use camaro5 (we try)

Paul and Kim have already committed, and I think my parents are bringing another vette friend with them. We need to work on the rest of the group

We had a ton of fun. We had so much fun, we went extra laps.

Anyone that goes will find it is well worth it and for a good cause.

It will be a blast, I know I've got at least five camaro's from abilene coming wtih me right now. I'm working on more!!!! IT's going to be a great event!

My wife and I will try to go if we can get the VIP package. Does anybody know how fast those packages run out?

OK all, if you want to do the VIP deal, call Brandi at 817-215-8421 and tell her you are with OKCAMAROS (or Kevin Gress) and she will make the dinner all at the same time. Right now the dinner is scheduled for 7:30. The VIP event starts at 5:30. This should be plenty time and also to do some extra laps if you want (for $30). If we finished up earlier, I am sure we can have the dinner sooner. I did last year.

Kim (68RS-10SS/RS) and I want the VIP deal this time. We will call Brandi.

When we went up to visit the group, I saw how great the view was from the dinner floor.

We will probably do the extra laps so we both get to drive.
