Trailering a 2010 Camaro SS
Hi, I'm used to trailering my Corvettes, need to go pick up a new ride I bought. What is the recommended way to trailer a car on a trailer? Are there factory slots in the frame or somewhere, or should I use axle straps? Any help would be appreciated.

I've never trailered my car but if I did I'd tie it down the same way they do on the dyno machines ( through the spokes for the wheels ). This way holds the car steady at 6000 rpm. Seems enough for hold the car for trailering. Just make sure you stretch out your tie off straps so they are pulled tight with the car in between and not straight down from each wheel which would still let the car rock. I hope you can picture what I'm saying.

Same way as your Vettes, there are oval slots on the bottom for shipping tie downs using T-hooks or J hooks in the slots.
When you get it, you'll see underneath where there is some reinforced areas (the steel is doubled up) with an oval hole for the hooks. Same areas where you would put a hoist lifting pad. They reinforced that area for hoist lifting and tow hooks. |

Thanks. There was a dealer nearby that had a car on an elevated platform so I did get a good look today and I see what you mean. Thanks for the feedback.

My car has like 3000 miles on the Odometer and like 6 or 7000 Trailer miles.....
I use J Hooks .....There is a cross beam pretty much right under the Engine where I put my J hooks then I cross them and Strap them to my D rings in the Trailer.... On the Back there is Oval holes right in front of the rear wheels where I hook my J Hook and again cross the 2 and Starp them to the rear D rings in the floor..... Wish I had better pictures

Found the points in the front. In the rear, I see some on the lower A-arms, or are they along the sides of the car?

Open trailer I use tire or axle straps... Lets the car bounce over bumps and gives me a better ride. (open trailer only)
