KEY FOB Question

Does the FOB open the windows and sunroof as you approach the vehicle?? Or are we going to have to buy the Widow Valet they sell for the Corvette??

i've never heard of that feature, but it could prove very annoying if it's raining.

There is a pic of it somewhere. The only buttons on it are lock, unlock, trunk and panic.

lol...You have to hold down the unlock button for a long time...then it will put down the windows etc. No idea if the Camaro has it.

I ask because my wife's Honda drops all four windows and opens the sun roof from about 300 feet away. By the time you get to your car on a hot day the interior is almost fully vented of the captured heat.

There is a vendor on the Corvette Forum that sells a plug and play module that does the same thing, it's called The Window Valet. I guess I drop the guy an e-mail and see if it'll work on the Camaro.

Can someone confirm legitimately if the FOB for the Camaro will do this? I would love to have this feature living here in Louisiana

I have a key fob question: Why do so many people write it in all capitals? Is it an acronym? http://www.acronymfinder.com/FOB.html doesn't have anything appropriate, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Key_fob doesn't either.

Here's what us Corvette guys use:

http://www.topdowntech.com/products.html

Is $150 cheap enough?? Assuming the guy builds one for the Camaro.

It has already been confirmed fact that both windows and optional moonroof will be full auto, one touch open and one touch close. That feature is controlled throught the ECM. So, it would not be very difficult for GM to tie the remote control operation of the door locks to the auto open/close circuit of the windows and roof (I'm an electronic technician, I know how microprocessors work: this operation requires no more logic and control than the flashing lights or the horn when you lock your doors).

I would be rather disappointed if this feature isn't standard in at least the LTs and SSs.

I would love to see the camaro come with those features. I would say it's about time american cars made their ammenities more comparable to the Japanese and German cars.
