MAGNAFLOW OR MRT VERSION 2.0 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have been looking at a lot of exhaust systems on here and narrowed it down to these 2. Magnaflow or MRT Version 2.0. I would like to get some pro's and con's on each, like does one have more so called raspy sound then the other ? which magnaflow gives you that bad deep sound ? average price of each ? etc. Thanks in advance

i can only speak for the mrt 2 since its what i have. I think its great and has good sound. Im happy with it. I paid 499 + shipping, think the shipping was like 20 or so

With Magna flow Cat back you should expect a GT sound type. But if you are into Mustang type go for MRT.

I have heard both systems in person. The Magnaflow was an axle back kit tho. I liked the sound of the MRT v2 better. Not sure of the sound on a cat back Magnaflow so i can't say anything about that sound. The axle back kit from Magnaflow is much cheaper than the cat back system. And i believe the Mrt v2 is lower priced than the Magnaflow axle back. At top rpm just before shift they all sound raspy to me. At mid range and idle i don't think either of them are raspy.

It really boils down to you buying the sound you like the best. Non of them are really gonna make any big gains performance wise. However, traditionally the cat back system do produce more than the axle backs.

I liked the Flowmaster AT best so thats what i bought.
