First off i gotta say i just recently discovered this site a couple weeks ago and it is AWESOME. Helped me "dream" up my Camaro while i save up for it. Kudos to the staff of Camaro5 and all the members!
Now for my question. Here's my current dilemma. I am currently deployed in Iraq with 4 more weeks till i get home. I know i am getting a new Camaro but i need helpful advice on whether i should grab a 2010 off the lot or go ahead and order a 2011. I know the 2011 is probably the better option but i'm really bad at waiting and i want it as soon as i get home! Plus i really don't want to spend more than 27,000. How long is the wait looking at for a custom ordered 2011? Will i get it by the end of August? In regards to pricing. I think i read somewhere that some people were able to get the 2011 for invoice. Is this easy to get? And lastly, weighing in on all the variables (car value, price, time, ect) will it be better if i grab a 2010 off the lot or just get a 2011? Oh yea i am looking into getting a 2LT CGM, Auto transmission, with the Inferno Orange Interior. I'm just gonna take a wild guess that that will be hard to find still on the lots when i get home. Thanks in advance! Jordan |

Get exactly what you want and order an '11. 2SS (or 2LT) would include HUD on an '11, not so on the '10.

Get home safe and sound then worry about the car. They'll be here when you get here.

Overall, I think it'll be hard to find a 2LT for $27K out the door. Just guessing

Honestly, I can't help you there. I just bought my 2010 off the lot a month ago, I won't say exactly how much I paid after all was said & done, but it was over $30K.

The dealer I talked to last week told me that GM was not giving any discounts at all- including military- on the Camaro, Corvette...and...Equinox (?). They feel sales are solid enough is the story I was told. Bear in mind a dealership told me that
I may order a '11 Camaro, because I want some specific things not be missing from the car. But if I find a '10 1SS for a good deal next spring, that can change my plans. One thing that's making me want an '11 is that first year cars have issues to be resolved. But on the other hand, a '10 model next year should have issues resolved and will be cheaper, especially if it's a trade-in. I guess I'll see next spring

yeah i bet you paid a good penny for that v6 rs. to me its not worth getting. that is way to much money for a v6. dont get me wrong im not trying to bring you down or anything its just for that much money i would rather get a ss. in a few months i will be getting my v6 but im getting it bone stock. down the line i will fix it up my self and save a lot of money. the stock v6 and the v6 rs is like 10 gs diff.

I love the white, it's gorgeous! One thing I hate about it though; driving it in the rain, all the dirty road water collects on the rear end and just looks nasty when it dries lol The dead bugs on the front end are very noticeable too. But I live in the boonies, I have to deal with it.
