Warning indicator: A/C off due to high engine temp

Hey guys,

I wish my first post could have been about something more positive, but I ran into a (hopefully minor) issue with my new Camaro that I was wondering if anyone else has experience with.

Just drove back from a familiy visit in New England back to Ontario, Canada. Total drive time was nothing big, like 5 hours. During the last 30 minutes of the drive, we had to make a quick 10 minute pit stop. When I started the car back up I noticed the above warning indicator (A/C Off Due to High Engine Temp - page 4-33 of the OM) in addition to my engine temperature guage reading all the way to the *left* which would indicate a dead cold engine, not a hot one.

The engine temperature guage had been reading normal the whole trip and only stopped working after the pit stop.

Has anyone encountered either of these issues before? My Camaro only has 1600 miles on it.

Cheers,

Nick

Well, I *think* it's an electrical/fuse problem as the two problems coincided with one another at exactly the same time. The engine temp guage doesn't read anything at all, as in dead cold.

Plus it's now been sitting for almost 3 hours and still the same warning.
