When they install these they are supposed to let them sit without driving them for 24 hours. If they don't they fall apart.

That's the issue I believe. They installed it charged me for 3 hours of labor and called me back your car is ready:( The double sided tape on the left side is hanging on by a thread its all broken away:( I trust my dealer and the mechanic because they installed everything else on the camaro exhaust, grille, subs, tailz, rockers you name it.

I would take it back in and tell them that it is unacceptable.

After I had mine painted by my body shop I told them about the issues that people where having with the nose piece. They put extra rivets in where ever possible to insure that it would not fail. Even my salesman suggested that I don't use their body shop and look elsewhere. The dealership credited me the $$ for the dealer install that I opted out of.

I was thinkin super glue I always have bad luck with double-sided tape. I had a sct bodykit on my 03 Grand AM GT and my rocker panels kept on falling off because of the double sided tape.:(

i have installed a couple sets and they turned out fine,, also make sure they pulled the front bumper cover off and used the rivets to support the center front,,, lots of people are just trying to use the tape with no rivets and they are falling apart.

They redesigned the front. You no longer take the front bumper off on the SS. Now you install a retainer braket like the base model now.

Another Update

Sooo I took my car in this morning and they put more double sided tape on well this time they put double layers. I guess I'm going to try out that for awhile if it doesn't work they told me to come back and they are going to install some plastic rivets. Sooo I'm hoping it will do the trick

Sooo

Guess what came un loose this morning the double sided tape:( just on one side. Sooo the dealer installed two plastic rivets one on each side. They found black ones so they are not noticable. With my two rivets I should see no fallin off

Do you have the part number of the redesigned SS piece? My SS Front GFX fell off because the dealer failed to install the rivets. I would sure prefer the dealer reinstalling this redesigned piece using brackets like the base GFX.
