where did my stereo speakers go?

the boston acoustic package is a 9 speaker set up right? i find 1 in the dash, 2 in each door, and 2 on the rear deck=7 what am i missing here?-dummy

You only listed 5, but the one's you're overlooking are probably the tweeters. Top edge of the door, near the rearview mirrors, only a couple inches in diameter...

Back are split into two with the woofer being a set and the mids or tweets being a set giving your the extra two.

I never thought about the tweeters up front counting as speakers. That would also give us 9 speakers.
If we count the rears as 4 speakers (which is what GM is doing).

Drivers Door: Woofer + Tweet = 2
Passenger Door: Woofer + Tweet =2
Dash: center speaker = 1
Rear Deck Left side: Mid+Subwoofer (not really a subwoofer) = 2
Rear Deck Right Side: Mid+Subwoofer (not really a subwoofer) = 2
Total: 9 crappy speakers.

So you are telling me that the premium sound system doesnt have a subwoofer in it?!? thats crazy! my car is from 2002 and i have the basic sound system and there is a 10" behind the rear seats. Hits like chris brown i love it

You're talking about your Lexus? Camaros never came standard with a subwoofer. Thank God, I hate them.
