Local Dragstips
Hello everyone
I've lived in the Chester County area for 7 years and have had a car worth taking to the strip for the past 6... I've taken my '05 Mustang to Cecil County a few times and sat in the grandstands at Maple Grove Raceway for a NHRA event (once). I'm curious if any local members have a track preference (for racing, not spectating) between: Atco Raceway Cecil County Dragway Maple Grove Raceway |

Cecil all the way...lower elevation, not to bad on tech, maple grove I think is the worse track I have ever been too....they run the lanes like crap, there tech crew are rude and slow....never been to atco but I've heard good things about them.
I have a post in here somewhere about a LSx take over at Cecil on the 24th, it's a Sat. T&T.

I will only go to ATCO. 33 feet above sea level, and in the late fall, DA's of -1200 are common

I was at Cecil this past Saturday (9/4) for the YellowBullet Nationals, there was an ABM V6 running 14.20's, I am pretty sure it was an automatic, it was very quiet, and I didn't see any mods on it when I briefly looked at it in the pits.
That time seemed pretty respectable for a V6 with how heavy these cars are and he appeared to be all stock. |
