Camshaft moving too far. Camshaft position sensor cant determine position - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Has anyone had issues with the camshaft. The camshaft position sensor not knowing where camshaft is because it is moving too much. Dealer installed a washer to limit movement.

Should I be concerned?
Is this an appropriate fix?
How will it affect the engine life?

I haven't been able to find anyone else with the same problem after some searching.
