WHY ISNT LAUNCH CONTROL ADJUSTABLE ??

I have been reading threads about using my car at the track. I have read many post about launching around 2200-2300 rpms. If this is a sweet spot, then why cant gm let us tune up or down the launch control. launch control is up around 4000-4200 rpms when in use? When i used this at the track, all i did was spin the tires?
does anybody have any thoughts or heard anything from GM about adjusting the launch control either now or in the future?

Maybe this would be done by the info center or in a tune, or maybe at the factory?

If all it did was spin the tires then you didn't do it right and it didn't activate.

sorry, maybe i worded that wrong... i have used it many times at the track. correctly. and i really thought that i got to much spinning as compared to a lot of other post that say 2200-2400 is a better place to take of from. which i agree is a better spot. so i was mainly wondering why we cant adjust the factory setting of around 4000-4200 rpms max, down to the 2000 range. or for those that like it higher, adjust it up......

thanks billyg

Valid question, but the way Launch control works is to put down more power than needed and then modulate it using the brakes and torque management systems in the traction control. The lower RPM Launch is good for a straight out hookup. If you were to put it at a lower RPM it could end up bogging and not give the desired effect. However I agree the lower RPM is better, higher RPMs effectively stupid proof it a bit.
