Registration Sticker - Where did you place it?

Finally my registration sticker came through for my 2011 2SS/RS, and I quickly put it in this evening, as I was excited to have my personalized plate on it.

Looking out of the car, I was having a tough time deciding if I should put it above the inspection sticker or to the right of it, as you look through the windshield.

I figured above the inspection sticker, to line it up evenly with how the dealer placed it, would have intruded into my vision too far, so I've placed it to the right of the inspection sticker along the lower edge of the windshield.

However, now it feels cluttered when looking out the window, with my HUD there. This always happens that you have to 'get used to' the registration sticker being there as you get used to the car without it for 3 weeks or so. You can't take it off afterwards either, and I doubt you can get replacement stickers if needed!

The windshield on the Camaro is very visibly small, so I wondered where you all placed your registration sticker...

Well, whenever it comes in, I'll place it on top of the inspection sticker. Going on 6 weeks now w/o tags...got about a week left on the dealer temp tag.

Wow, that's taken a long time to come in. Mine was here 3 weeks to the day from picking up the car.

Took it out for it's first drive this morning with the new sticker in place. I think it's actually going to work out fine, my hand actually covers up the sticker with how I hold the steering wheel, so I don't think it's going to be a problem after all.

[Whispers] That's why I posted in the Texas section!

As you can see, my inspection sticker was placed slightly off, so if i had placed the registration sticker above it, it would lean into my line of sight somewhat. Looking from the inside, the sticker would have encroached on my view significantly.

I didn't line up the registration sticker with the side of the inspection sticker to the left of it as you look at the windshield, as it would have looked off as well from the outside of the car. It would have trailed down at an angle looking odd.

I think it's the placement of the inspection sticker that has thrown everything off.

And don't you love how the registration sticker has a massive blue backing to it, so it's 'right there' when you look out of the window? Ugh.
Fortunately, it appears that how I hold the steering wheel, my left hand actually blocks the blue sticker all together, so it should work out ok.

And please excuse the HUD, looks like my iPhone couldn't pic it up too well!

Ooh, I freakin hate that, when they put it on crooked. It looks like the dealer tried to align it to the bottom of the windshield as opposed to the left. I'm from MI where they don't have such inspection stickers, and I HATE it. We had ours on the plate like it should be.

Okay so this is where I keep mine ... seriously ... the window is too small for anymore stickers. So if I ever get pulled over ... there it is all nice a neat. You get a ticket for not having one, not for not having it on the window. By the way .. it's where I keep my front plate too. Heck, if the car didn't already have the inspection sticker, I would have that too in the glove box. Speaking of the glove box or glove compartment ... does anybody ever put gloves in there, they should rename it, the catch all box.

While true, your chances of getting pulled over go up tremendously. A lot of city cops probably wouldn't hassle you but DPS troopers look for cars that don't have both stickers that are running hard plates.

I know, I mean who thought it would be a great idea to have a large blue sticker on the windshield in the drivers line of sight. Doesn't make sense to me.

I am originally from the UK, and we have a Road Tax disc (Road Fund License they call it) and you get to put it on the opposite side of the windshield from the driving position (see image below of a Seat Ibiza Cupra R - yes that's where my screenname came from!). That makes more sense to me. But I know why it's on the drivers side, it's so the cops can see them if they are oncoming. Makes sense... just annoying!
