Should I buy a Camaro or a used 328i BMW?

OKay here is my dilemna.

I will either be getting a slightly USED base 328i Sedan BMW during the last couple weeks of the year, so i could get the best deal possible. Or I could continue borrowing my mom's car until my birthday in september when I would buy my Camaro.

I really want the Camaro because it is my dream car. So like, I mean I would be happy with the BMW because its a nice car..... but my mom is the one who wants me to get it, not me. And if I had the BMW I feel as if I would always long to have the Camaro.

The catch to all of this is, I would only be able to borrow her car whenever she is not using it (which is not often because she is a realtor)..... But on the other hand if i wait, I would have the 70% POSSIBILITY of getting a loaded 2LT RS.

Which one should I go with? Thanks for reading my rant. And thanks for your answers.

V6 Camaro? Get the Bimmer. But,if you don't have alot of money for maintence, and the Bimmer is out of warranty, get the Camaro. I had a '00 323i base model sedan and that was one of the nicest cars to drive and ride in i've ever had.........but the damn thing never worked. Windows wouldn't work, door locks never worked, fuel injectors go out, water pump explodes.........once it was out of warranty,i let that car go,but oh to drive it when everything was right...........so nice. She was a bitch, but she was worth it.
Warranty-get the Bimmer and savor one of the nicest driving cars in the world.
No Warranty-forgo the headache and get the Camaro.

If you really need a car until september, find something cheap and is a minimum of 10 years old. Commonly called a beater. Search around for something that is reliable, I've heard from mechanics that cavaliers/sunfires are pretty good. I can attest that Saturns are also good. So drive that, then get the Camaro in a year or so.

Dude...get the Camaro. You have any idea the cost for maintenance on a Bimmer? Insurance will also be much higher. Get the Camaro...you'll be pissed if you don't.

Camaro !!!!!!!!!

BMWs attract gold diggers. Hot rods (Camaro) attract hot chicks.

I carpool with a guy that has a BMW. The electronics are always giving him problems and it costs an arm and a leg to fix anything on that car..... and yes that BMW got him a gold digger that he was dumb enough to marry and now she is running him into the ground.

Camaro hands down. It will be the hottest car out next year.

The 328i coupe is nice but it's still not a 335i. If you hang around the "BMW crowd" you'll know that they'll be quick to point out that you're pushing a base model coupe.

Why not consider getting a daily driver like a $2500 car that should hold you over until the Camaro comes out? You should save a ton on insurance that you can put towards the Camaro. You also ought to be able to get out of it just about what you paid when you sell it in a few months. Just a thought.

Get a beater until you can get the Camaro.

- 1990 Toyota Celica GT - $700

- 1992 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight - $1000

1992 Old 98 106 thousand miles in good condition engine runs alittle fast. This was my grandmothers and was well taken care of, car needs alittle work but runs and drives just the way it is, clean interior, current inspection sticker. Call 832 213 7357
- 1993 Chevy S10 Ext. Cab with topper - $500

Body in bad shape, but mechanically sound. 150k miles, air works great, standard trans.
Etc. Or, buy something nicer and then sell it later. A car that's worth $2500 today will still be worth $2000 by September unless you break lots of stuff.

Lol!! My buddy had one and the repair bills were hillarious! He would back into work after picking up his Bimmer from the repair shop and his face looked like he saw a ghost.

Before you go out and buy that BMW, call the parts department at the local BMW dealer and price out a coil pack, brake caliper and spark plug wires....
