TVS-2300 Pulley Change

Hi All,
I'm currently running a L99 engine with the Maggie TVS-2300 standard 3.8 inch pulley and dynoed at 500rwhp. I'm having a smaller pulley installed (3.4 inch) and was wondering if anyone has done that and how much hp gain did they get to the wheels?

I understand with my Kooks long tube headers that I will loose some boost. Was wondering how much boost should I expect to get with the smaller pulley change.

Thanks,
Taz

Do NOT drop to a 3.4 unless You,

Add an MSD Fuel pump voltage booster.
And Add Water Meth injection,
And A custom Tune.

That is TOO MUCH boost for Pump Gas and TOO MUCH HP for your current fuel system.

A 3.6 with a Fuel Pump Voltage booster would be a Safer Bet if that is all your looking to do.

Ted.

I dont have a Fuel Pump Voltage Booster. I did install the Fastlane Dual Fuel Pump rated around 1000+hp. Not sure if they act the same. Also have a custom tune and the tuner will retune after pulley swap.

Not sure what is entailed with the water meth injection. Can you explain? Install is slated next week.

Thanks,
Taz

Definitely a good investment, some cars are fine without them some are not so it is best to install one.

I kind of have a rule of thumb, if the fuel pressure drops below 52 psi at WOT I Put one in.

Thanks. Are u running a ls3 engine? My stock was at 326rwhp and
dyno 3.8 at 500rwhp. Was hoping for 525-550rwhp after pulley change. I wanted to stay pump gas, but sounds like fm Ted that I hAve to upgrade to meth. Gotta check up on diff meth kits avail for the L99 engine.

You can drop to a 3.6 with an MSD FPVB and a Tune.

3.4 will require Coolingmist kit, and above.

Ted.

Taz did you install the pump yourself? If so did you have to remove the seat and is there a lot of extra wiring involved?

No I had the pump installed. You do have to drop the gas tank to install the fuel pump. I think it took 2-3 hours for the install.

Ted,
how difficult is the install on the MSD FPVB, also, do you have to run a line for boost reference?

Easy but time consuming, Yes it needs a boost reference line.

Where can I find a 3.6" pulley? I looked on Magnacharger's site but could not find one. :(

Also, when it comes to fuel, which is a better setup, the MSD voltage booster or the Boost a pump?
