I'm hoping to pick up my 2011 2LT RS next week.
My question is, what do you think the tires would run to replace, and based on normal fairly sensible driving, what is the typical life expectancy of a P0? Thanks. |

Depends on how you drive it. But if you drive it like you say you will, you should get two years out of them. That's assuming it's your daily driver and you use the tires year round. You might be able to stretch it to three if you're careful.
I new set of PZeros will run you about $400 each or so. |

I'm going to guess about 20 to 25,000 miles with easy driving.
Go to '' tire rack '' their a sponser here and you can find tire prices for any tire you might want.

Tire life completely depends on how you drive. I've got about 17k miles on mine and still have plenty of tread left. Will probably make it to about 30k before I replace them. Others on here have had to replace theirs at 8-10k miles (usually the rears on an SS) but others have easily made it to the mid-20k range.
As for cost, you are looking at roughly $1275 (out the door at Discount Tire in TX - tires, lifetime balance, road hazard replacement certs, TMPS rebuild, sale tax). You'll knock that down to $1080 without the road hazard replacement certs and TMPS rebuild kit). For that amount, you can probably just buy someone's complete new tire/wheel take off package in the classified section on Camaro5.

Stock Pirelli's P-Zero's will run $420+ per tire.
There are a lot of other good choices of tires and by the time you wear the stocks out, if you even get there, you will want larger size tires for your car.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like if you shop around you can get them in the $200 range. Which is awesome. $400 is a little steep. Not even my BMW with run flat tires that could only be replaced by BMW cost $400 any more!

As others have stated. The Pirelli's are the best deal around. The can be bought for $208 at tirereack. I believe Pirelli lowered their price for the Camaro owners. All the other sized Pirelli's are very expensive. But the Camaro 245s and 275s are around $200. This is from Tirerack. Had to buy two tires for my RS (rear and front) due to being run off the road. Got the tires for about 450 shipped from Tirerack. Had to pay Goodyear another 90 to mount them. Could have been worse.

I just replaced my PZeros with Toyo ZRated Tires.. same size. $200 a corner. Had them replaced at 31k miles.
The PZeros honestly lasted till about 29k miles, then road noise was similar to driving off road tires on asphalt. I also went through sudden jerks to the left and right when the tires would "react" to small dips in the road going at normal speeds. Glad I finally got them changed though, my car feels brand new with these new tires.
