Car feels BOGGY, HELP!!!!

So I am a proud owner of a summit white SS with automatic transmission. I have about 1,200 miles on it and for some reason, it feels like if I'm in drive mode, not using the paddle shifters, the car seems like it bogs driving around town, like it's in too high of a gear at low rpms. Does anyone else have this with their car. If I use the paddle shifters and shift and higher rpms rather than the computer then I don't seem to have this problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Torque Management. Gotta love it.

You might wanna try the fuse pull too.

If you are starting fairly slowly from a stop, you start in second gear. Supposedly.

Not to sure because I have the M6 but I know changing the gears to 3.73 would fix this issue.

Not the AFM. At least not the way you describe it. The AFM will not be on while you are accelerating like that.

Here is a link to the OP in the fuse pull thread. Not saying that's what's going on with your car but it's a possibility.

Running wide open your L99 should shift from 1-2 around 37mph. Then the
2-3 shift should come around 63 mph.

There are also certain speeds your A6 might feel sluggish, especially in warm weather. One is down around 20-30 mph. If you miss the cut off for 1st gear (around 15-20 mph or so), 2nd gear can feel a little sluggish until you build some rpms.

Another speed is around 52 - 60mph, At those speeds the A6 only drops to
3rd gear and it doesn't pull that hard. But if you mash the gas just below 50mph (40-50 mph zone), it pulls really hard because the transmission drops to 2nd gear.

Around 45mph is the best speed for the A6. It will throw you back in the seat like crazy from that speed.

So knowing your drop down speeds can be important. But if you're mashing the gas going 45mph and you're L99 doesn't haul axx, something wrong (fuse pull maybe).

Pete I had the same problem. when driving at slower speeds its like it needed to downshift, but at the track or highway speeds no problem. I have since modded the car and had it dynotuned. the trans tune and AFM delete eliminated the problem.
ps Fuse pull did not help.

Are you aware of the Sport Mode? I drive in that mode 99% of the time and the car feels quite responsive.

Hmm. Could be something stupid, but MANY people saw a huge difference after getting their first oil change. You're still at 1200 and I bet you haven't gotten it, so get one.

Please Refer to GMVIS

This bulletin is being revised to include 2010 models, additional RPOs and V6 engines with Active Fuel Management. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 06-06-05-001C (Section 06 -- Engine/Propulsion System).

Some customers may comment on a change in the exhaust note or tone when an Active Fuel Management System equipped engine is in 3 or 4 cylinder mode. Some drivers may also notice a very slight vibration in either the accelerator pedal, floor pan and/or the steering wheel. This is a normal condition for Active Fuel Management System equipped vehicles and no repairs should be attempted.

Customer Information on Active Fuel Management

When the Active Fuel Management System is enabled, physical changes take place within the engine that allow it to run as a 3 or 4 cylinder motor with accompanying additional fuel savings. The change in exhaust tone is expected as all sound from the exhaust is the result of combustion in the engine. The ability to perceive these changes in sound are kept to very minimal levels as the Active Fuel Management System is only activated during steady state/near steady state driving or during coast down. In both of these situations, the load on the engine is minimal and general exhaust volume (sound) is low. You may give a copy of this bulletin to your customer.
GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.

Same here. I only have 400 miles on it. I told the technician that it feels like it's skipping gears. They told me the L99's tend to do that at first but give it at least 2k miles and you should see a difference.
