Do you think the camaro is HUGE?
I'm a member on here and also on thirdgen.org. Here, most of you think the 3rd gen camaro is ugly and they think the 5th is ugly. Those 2 gens happen to be my favorite! I had to fight back and defend our car and ask why and stuff and they say because it looks nothing like the original 1st gen camaros and that it's SOOO effin BIG!
SO, do you guys it's soooo huge? If so why? What about it looking like the car it was designed after. The things they said, even though probably true, just really p***ed me off. One member photo shopped the camaro so it was the same size as the 69 and it looks too weird to me. SO I'm glad it's not the same size. I LOVE the 2010/2011 camaro faults n' all!

I don't think third gens are ugly at all (one of my favorite cars I have owned was my '85), but they do look small in comparison to the 5th gens.
As for comparison to 1st gen, I didn't see much when I parked next to our '68, but the gills on the side are definitely a reminder of the '69 and I noticed, although not as pronounced as the 5th gen, the 1st gens do have "hips". I never noticed until recently, sitting in the '68, looking out the side mirror. They are just more noticeable on the '10. Honestly though, for having such a big body (yes, everyone comments how big the car looks), my '10 does not seem to have the interior room that my '85 did.

I don't think the 5th gen is huge... It is bigger then all the other gens. I like the size of the 5th gen.

I'm 17, and I want my first car to be a blue 87 IROC-Z with the 5.7L V8. That is my dream car. Later on in like I'll get a 5th or 6th gen if they don't screw up the 6th.

I like the size too. I don't say "wow that's huge" when I see one, I say "wow that's f***ing awesome!"

Sitting all by itself in my driveway, it doesn't look huge to me. But then I don't have a first generation to compare it to. As far as the styling, it looks beautiful to me. Personally I believe that a 1969 Camaro was used by the designers to assure that the new car had the correct proportions. Remember that Americans are getting larger on average, and this must be taken into consideration: larger people need larger cars.

They did not make the interior of the 5th gen larger for larger people, that's for sure. The first gen is way roomier on the inside.

Of course 1st gen will be roomier. it didn't have all the stuff the 5th gen has. I mean adding 2 airbags removed a lot of room by making a bigger steering wheel and bigger dash.

Yeah, I realize there are a lot of new tech things that take up room. I'm just commenting, that for a big car, the interior is small.
