2011 Reverse Indicator Stuck - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I know people are just taking delivery of their 2011's, but is anyone having trouble with the reverse indicator sticking? I just picked mine up 3 days ago, and noticed this yesterday. When you shift into reverse, an "R" appears on the info screen and the back up sensors are activated. the "R" goes away after a few seconds, and shows down in the lower left of the screen to let you know it's still active. When you take it out of gear the "R" should go away, and the sensors should deactivate. Should...
Mine sticks almost everytime, and my options are either put the shifter in and out of reverse a dozen times till it deactivates, or drive around with the sensors dinging every time a car gets behind me. I'll be making an appointment to get it checked, but I wanted to know if I'm alone with this issue.

i have my 2011 havent noticed anything like that ill check on it in the am though.....just to be sure thanx for thr heads up.....

Today I backed out of my driveway, and backed in at work. No issues. nothing worse then intermittent problems...

Probably should have added this info...I have a 6M trans.

So, today it thought it was in reverse as I down shifted to first and pulled into a space. After backing out, it deactivated fine. I may look at it myself, as the dealer is a long distance away, and they'll likely have the car for a while. I'll take some pics to show how the mechanism works...or is supposed to.
