Me too! Been wanting to paint mine since before I got the car and don't trust myself enough to do it on my own.

I would encourage you guys to paint them yourselves. If you do the brush on method, you will very pleased on how easy it was and how nice they will turn out. High temp decals are available on eBay for only a few dollars and in a variety of colors.

I would avoid aerosol cans...too messy. I bought the G-2 brand brush-on epoxy paint. It is very easy to apply and very durable. As you can see, I used red paint and silver Brembo decals.

Pssst! Don't tell anyone; I masked off the back sides of my calipers and only painted the sides and front face.

Thanks for the info but unfortunately I don't trust myself when it comes to painting. I couldn't paint for fer $hit in elementry school so I doubt I can paint a brake caliper LOL

It's really easy. That's one of the first things I'm doing when my girl arrives. Just have to make sure to tape off the rotors.

Yes, more info Alfie... I'm looking for Victory Red. Do you clearcoat over the decals to keep them from peeling off??? You brushed those while on your car?? I think anybody can do that. Can you get OEM paint with the flecks of metallic in it??

What's the diff between paint and powdercoating?

Thankx in advance for any info here. Lori

Lori,

It's my understanding the difference between paint and powdercoating is that paint is applied while the powdercoat is actually "baked" into whatever the item is. I may be mistaken though...

Actually found a brief description of what powdercoat is...here yah go:

The powder used in powder coating contains finely ground charged particles of pigment and resin that are sprayed onto a metal or aluminum surface. Because the powder is electrically charged, it sticks or adheres to the electrically grounded metal or aluminum surface and then, to ensure that it lasts for years and years, it is heated and fused into a smooth coating in a curing oven.
