Baby Steps on the Road to Extreme HP

Whelp, after 13 months and just under 24K miles, I have officially retired the EVIL RS from daily driving. She's now used for Friday races and fun weekend rides. I love the car too darn much to watch the miles rack up so quickly... so, bought the wife a new car and now I'm driving her old Scion back/forth to work each day. Of course, the *real* benefit is that this leaves me free to take more steps toward an extreme horsepower build. So...

...I took the EVIL RS into ADM Performance today to have the dual fuel pump system installed... and have the car converted to E-85. These are just Baby Steps... foundational really... as the idea is to put a blower on her eventually (hopefully in time for Pinks this October - yes, I am racing) and doing the conversion to E-85 and the dual-fuel setup now serves me perfectly once I do get blown.

If all goes as planned, I'll be faster, running cleaner, and hurting people at the track this Friday night! I cannot wait to see how well the 110 Octane does in my still-naturally aspirated baby.

Anyone else running E85 yet? Down here, it's easy to get and dirt cheap (compared to Premium.)

Right now, my expectations are pretty low, as this the dual fuel pump and switch to E85 are more of a foundation for future... like a blower. So, I'd say I'm expecting a bit better times at the track and perhaps some increased HP moving to the 110 octane E85.

One thing I do know is that Andy has EVIL RS running faster than most cars in her class... so I certainly don't expect that to change with these baby steps!

where do you get this 110 octane rating? Please put down the pipe! lol I think you would be better off with the 100 or 101 fuel. There is a very interesting article in one of the GMHTP magazine about dynoing with the higher octane fuels.

You're having the right guy install it for sure

I will for sure keep close eye on this thread.

I always knew soon or later you would do something else with your car Adam I just told myself to wait and see.

Congrats on making her a nondaily pretty soon I will do the same until then 8 minute drive isnt bad.

Adam are you changing the car over to a LS3 since you say soon or later you are adding a blower ?
