Well I have an appointment for the 23rd to get the clear bra and window tint done on the Camaro. The clear bra will cover the entire front end, fog lights, headlights, 18" up the hood, the leading edge of the roof, A pillars, mirrors, rocker panels, behind the front tire, just in front of the rear tire, behind the rear tire, and on the rear bumper to protect from things going in and out of the trunk. I am not sure how dark I am going to go on the windows but I want it pretty dark. I am looking forward to it and I can hardly wait.

That's great. I'm going to be scheduling an appointment next week for a Clear bra install. Still debating on whether or not I want to get tint due to the Law in NJ. Already playing with fire not having my front plate on currently. Don't know if I want another thing to worry about everytime I see a police officer.

I just got mine tinted to 30% which is the most you can do here in Tx legally. I didnt want overly dark rear window so I left that 30% also.

Protection (clear bra) is good... Make sure you know your state's legal limit in regard to window tint. It's only 35% here in NC - I was so wanting 20%, but decided to stay legal instead of giving the cops a reason to pull me over.

How much does it cost for a clear bra. I'm thinking of getting my car done. I already got 2 rock chips on my front bumper.

Really depends on the shop. You really have to shop around. Highest quote I've gotten was $1200. Lowest $495. All for the same coverage. But keep in mind cheapest is not always the best. Definitely do your research.

Not sure you should go with 30%. I know it give the police a reason to mess with you, but I'm taking my chances. I put 35% on and it did no justice at all. I went back a week later and upgraded to the 3m 20% and Im loving it. Have not been pulled over yet. I got a quote of 595 for the clear coat bra. Planning to do a bit more research b4 I do it. Good luck all.

$545 sounds a bit low. Check into what all they are going to cover and also which film it is. Remember you get what you pay for so do your research. This stuff takes a long time to install if done properly.

I got black stripes painted on my car with a blue pearl over top, (hood, rear deck, spoiler) and 3 additional coats of clear on the entire front end of the car for $1000. No chipping worries.

Have yet to have a problem with chips on the nose of the car but I got the windows tinted a few weeks back, it's 35% and it isn't too dark but cool enough for me

Depending on how much of the car you have done and which shop you use, figure a clear bra to cost somewhere between $600 and $900. I had my car done. Money well spent imho.
