Help installing AAC Dual Halos

Expecting my order from AAC anytime now for the dual White/Amber halos. Does anyone have some good write ups or tips for a NON-RS install? Specifically wiring the dual halos. Did you use the supplied wiring or your own, Tap into fogs or run your own 12v source with in-line fuse, ect. Any tips on wiring these up would be a help.

I would recommend purchasing the aac 4 channel remote. Considering the dual color halos share the same positive and have separate grounds we usually install them both to the running lights.

Tip: If you've never taken a headlight apart, don't do it! Its a pain in the rear. I installed green halo's on a friends camaro (non-rs), it took forever to get the headlights apart. Not to be discouraging or anything. I wired it off of the BCM...it was a red/white (constant 12V) and I had it switched since he wanted them to work with the ignition off...ie for show use.

Is the supplied wiring good enough for the entire install or would anyone recommend using different gauge wiring? I was planning on wiring the Whites to come on whenever the fog lights are on, and also whenever the headlights themselves were on. Amber I would like to have on the switch from AAC wired through the firewall on the drivers side. My question is still where would be the best to tap into for both sources and about the supplied wiring

I would run a relay, white in the normally closed position, and red to the normally open position. Wire the power source from the halo's oem power wire, and the relay coil from a switch you can mount in the interior. I'm about to do the same thing and using the AAC switches to do this.

Wouldn't worry too much about the gauge wire, eddy currents should be rather low for that circuit. If you use the relay method I suggested then (and I'm doing this) I use the halo's oem power wire for the coil too, my switch illuminates when the camaro's system activates the halo, that way when I see it illuminate, I know I have the option to select red.

Is that the fat red wire in the white connector?
