The ZL1 bumper is NOT interchangeable with the 5th gen camaro bumper. To do so would require lots of modification to the fenders and the front bumper.

You'll probably have to wait for someone with a ZL1 to sell their front fascia

The car isnt out yet so not sure how you know? Not being ignorant- but the bumpers look very similar from pictures..i doubt it would take much to make it work..its a mass production car that will be built on the assembely line along side its camaro brethern...theyre not going to completely rewrite the zl1 bumper..theyve just tweaked it by removing the mail slot and adding the fog ports etc.

I'm betting he's wrong. Or maybe he meant straight swap. From all appearances of the pre-pro, it looks like it'll swap. Maybe not exact bolt for bolt, but the dimensions look the same as far as meeting up with the hood and fenders, and that's what really counts. Bracing could be a bit different.

I'm saying based on what I saw of the ZL1 in Oshawa, the dimensions appear at first glance it will physically match up to any 5th gen fender/hood. I didn't whip out a ruler or have my eyes calibrated, so I'm not going to say it's absolute. All I said was I'm betting he's wrong, and that it WILL fit. Is it going to be a bolt for bolt matchup behind the fascia? Maybe, maybe not. But it looks like there won't be much fab work involved in fitting it to a 2010-2011 car. Time will tell. I'm hoping I'll be able to buy the whole car one of these days, so I know it'll fit mine anyway if I do.

I'm not flexing any Internet muscles, just questioning your post. Al and the FBodfather explained that the ZL1 was created out of the current SS front fascia. I am sure it "will" fit if you throw enough money at it. But what they, and myself are saying is that it is NOT a direct bolt on. Thats all I was trying to get across.

We shall just have to wait and see. But I'm thinking it's not going to be much more difficult than Ofer's rear camera install if even that hard. You sound as if you have to throw $2K to get it to work. I'm saying I don't believe it will be that difficult at all. There's still a question of the fascia support behind the plastic being a bit different in shape, but that's just a parts purchase away or maybe a slight mod, IMO.

OK. That's fine, I'm just repeating what the Fbodfather told everyone at Oshawa this past June. See this LINK for the Q&A. But IMO, you'd have to throw about $2,000 at the bumper before you could get it to fit.
