When I bought my 2000 Camaro, manual, of course, I was called a "selfish ba$tard". I bought a new auto Vette in 2004 specifically because she refuses to learn manual transmission.

She drove it once, just once, and tossed the keys to me and said "I hate your car, it's too fast and low to the ground." Last auto I ever bought or will ever buy. I traded it in after a year for a six speed Vette. Expensive lesson, but lesson learned.

I'm pretty sure I drive her up the wall, so she might as well drive my car.

LOL! Funny you should mention that... I've got a subwoofer on order. Hmm... no wonder she was so supportive of that! Anything to please the lady.

My wife rarely drives it but she has the other key, knows where it's parked and is welcome to it any time she wants.

Although she has only driven it a couple of times she enjoys it as much as me even if she thinks it is too LOUD She has onlt driven the car once over 100....(110) she enjoyed the hell out of it. Just in case someone screams about this happening on the highway.....it was way way out where you might see a car every now and then....incidently...it was in the same area I did 143.....she has permagrin every time she gets behind the wheel and I am happy for her....I trust her because I am the one who taught her how to driver 15 years ago

I hate when HE wants to drive my car! It makes me very nervous....I'm glad he doesn't ask often to drive it by himself. Now, he's tried to one up me by buying a Corvette!

My better half drove it once, only cuz i pushed her to. She was haul'n ass as i watched her go by. The manual is no prob for her. She prefers her 09 F150

Hell No! End of discussion! Story to follow... When I meet her (My wife) I ownen a brand new Black 1978 Z-28 my very first new car. 4 speed. Man I loved that car, and I was in love with her. So, I tried and tried to teach her to drive a stick. She would either dump the clutch, or smoke it. So finally I gave up. (second best thing that ever happened) And after we married (1979) I sold it and bought a family car. Heres the bad and good. After 31 years, she has managed to dent, wreak or otherwise total every car we have owned since. except my 82 Corvette and my 2010 Camaro 2SS. Because I refuse to let her drive them. Period! I'll love her til death. But these are my toys. The best thing that ever happened to me is she married me.
