Something is not right about that video - appears as though the Camaro is not getting into the throttle. Yes, it appears the 2011 Mustang is a hair faster than the Camaro now, but this video is staged to make the Camaro look bad.

a driver mod is needed in that camaro. i doubt he would have won but regardless it would have been close.

 how about compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges? 2010 v 2010 and 2011 v 2011. besides look at that drivers delay with the launch

I'd be in a Mustang right now if the Camaro hadn't resurfaced, but I am so glad it did.
Most of the time when I see a Mustang, it's a chick in college or a woman in her 40s. No offense to women driving any car, but it just kind of takes away from the 'muscle' idea... especially when I see more female than male drivers.

My brother got a 2006 Mustang a few years back, and the salesman says that Ford releases HP numbers that are less than what they are actually putting out. Because, every engine is different and back in the 90s, some guy dyno'd his car and it was less than the advertised rating. So he sued Ford, and he won. Supposedly a lot of companies do this now

I've owned several Fords before, and they were good cars. I just bought my 2SS, and for quite a while, I couldn't decide between my car and the 2011 Mustang GT. For me, it came down to looks. While I think the Mustang looks great, there's something about the 2010 Camaro...It just looks a little tougher.

I think the mustang is great.
If I wouldnt have been brought up chevy my whole life and been biased I would have one. It is a close second for me and I would be in one in a second if it werent for the above reasons. Especially with the very solid performance of the new 5.0. Its just that the body is in need of an update...same basic look since 2005. If it was a whole new re-design and also the 5.0 motor...it might have been enough to sway me...MIGHT.....the LS3 (and the lsx platform in general) is hard to turn your back on. The ease of mod-ability, the gains, the NA power potential...it is a solid platform. |
