Opinions on Redline Oil

I know it's a 100% synthetic ester based oil. But does anyone run this in your Camaro? Also thinking about getting Transmission and Rear Diff changed with appropriate Redline products as well.
Anybody with some opinions?

My father-in-law and I who both have gen5's just ordered some. He has a friend that has been running it in his Corvette for years and swears by it.

I have it in my rear diff and like it quite abit. I also have some that I need to put in the trans just have gotten around to doing it. Since I change the engine oil more often I use mobil one for that.

Compare specs and you will use Amsoil. It is the best.

If the top 3 synthetics were Blondes, Brunettes, and Redheads, and you had to pick one. You could not make a bad choice. They are all great, some folks just have a particular flavor programmed into their brain that they think is the best.

And anyone that says one is better than the others is flat wrong.

If you took 3 Camaros. Run 150,000 miles on them all. One using Redline, one Royal Purple, one Amsoil. In the end, I'd wager there would be next to no difference.

Show me a Camaro with Amsoil, and prove that it is doing something better than a Camaro with any other brand of synthetic that meets the GM spec.

That's like saying, wow this car really runs great using Redline oil. How so? I've never been able to feel a difference in a cars performance based on brand used.

I'd bet if I put Walmart Superlube 5w30 synthetic in a blind taste test up against any of the top synthetics, nobody could tell the difference. Put 4 cars out on a track, with expert drivers, go tear it up and come back and tell us which one had the "inferior" oil. No possible way anyone could tell a difference.

Those that proclaim superiority are most often generating an income from that claim.

I put it in my rear diff and M6 tranny. I have the V6. I haven't put it in the engine yet. To be quite honest, I can't tell any difference between the Redline and factory fluids. I was hoping for better shifting in the cold, but it doesn't shift any better. I do believe it's a quality product though or I would not have used it.

the reality is when you compare data you will see the difference, you wont see it today or tomorow but years down the road,,, when you start saying dam why are my cylinders so scored, dam why are my crank, rods, and main bearing wearing out more than the people using good synthetics.

then you will realize,, but then would be a little late.

for example its so funny and bizare on how royal purple claims to have a top notch synthetic media that cost 12 buck + and that filters 20 microns,,, dam even a 5 dollar synthetic media WIX filter is capable of better than that AMSOIL's EA filters are rated at 10 microns ,,, a BIG significant difference.

You could tell by the temp gauge, less friction=less heat=more power

high quality synthetics mean, less friction = less heat, also reliability is increased motor will last longer,,, ther is plenty data to back this up.
