You're actually 2" taller than me! 4'11" and I always had the same problem..aside fro reaching pedals and actually being able to see over the hood of the car!...the "get a booster seat" got old after awhile. I use a step stool..drape a blanket or towel over it to avoid any "oops scratches".

They would work, and the chenile would be OK to use on your paint.

I know huh? I was thinking the same thing.

To the OP get a strong boyfriend to hold you up over the car while you wash it

For waxing you can open the door and stand on the sill.

Michelle;

Take a trip to your local library. They use a round step stool that has a rubber non-slip mat on top. It is broader at the bottom than the top so it is less likely to tip over. It is probably just the right height for doing your roof and hood. You could velcro a piece of foam rubber to the top edge so it would not mar the paint should you get too close. Check with office furniture places like office max or office depot or ask the library where they get their's.

I have a step stool that would be adequate, the problem with using one is my gravel driveway. Therefore, I was trying to find an alternative. The only long handled washers I've seen are the brushes, but I'm not going to use a brush on my car. I'm going to look this week to see what I can find, if not, I'm sure I can find something online. Thanks!
