My dealer just called and said he was informed by GM about the hold. Hopefully they lifted it across the board and not on a yard by yard basis.
He is supposed to check back tomorrow and see what is next..

Well isn't that interesting news. My dealer ordered my car the second last week of May 2010 and has not been able to give me any updates. As of yesterday he is trying to get me to take a dealer locate on a 2010 Black and Beige 2LT versus waiting for my 2011. I wish that there was a way I could find out the Order number as he will not release this to me so I can decide what I want to do. Suggestions?

WHAT! Everyone has their order number....What a joke! My car is at the dealership and I ordered at the same time you did. Your car should be built.

The scary thing is I only live 1 Hour away from the plant. I am begining to wonder if my dealer screwed something up with my order.

Really sounds like you need to walk away and get a better dealer.

If he won't give you the order number he doesn't have it. There is no reason you should not have the order number immediately after the car is ordered. Tell them you want the order number or stick it.

I'm just about at that point, but I don't want to wait until they start showing up on the lots, because 9 times out of Ten they are all sold here in Ontario before they even get delivered. Its painfull I just want my Freakin Car.

Did u leave a deposit? Call 1800GMDRIVE and ask them, they will need you name and dealer name and location. They will give u your oder number and its status. If the dont see it. Yup.... Still them to Stick It and fork over your bread... That was just shady!! They ought to owe you something for holding your money all this time.

He can print out your exact order and order number - if he won't do it - find another dealer that will... If you are really worried - find the second dealer - get the order number - then cancel the first guy..

IMHO - you do not have a car ordered...

GOOD NEWS on 2011 Order

Dealer called and my car is ready for pick up tomorrow.

As for the "hold", it was for the brakes. All cars will need a software upgrade at the dealership, but is shouldn't hold your car up now. Let's Party!!! YOUR CAR IS NEXT!!!!!!
