Scratch in Vinyl Hood Stripe

I have a very small scratch in one of my vinyl hood stripes. I looks like a small rock hit and scraped a little bit of the vinyl off and I can see a little bit of green paint underneath. Does anyone have a suggestion of how to fix it without buying a new set of stripes?

Thanks in advance

Personally, I'd probably replace the stripe. :( You could try using touch-up to hide the green paint, but IMO, it's not going to look good. The "finish" of the touch-up won't match the matte finish of the stripes. It may look good from a distance, but up close, you'll spot it easily. :(

Sorry, but there doesn't appear to be a simple solution to this dilemma.

Agreed... you'll waste more time/effort/money trying to find a way to fix it than its would cost to simply replace it.

A rogue cat likes to peel out on my stripes at night.....so I finally had to resort to using Carnuba on the stripes to prevent the cat's claws from "digging in". Sorta defeats the matte finish's purpose, but rather have stripes than a dead cat.

bummer dude. Hillbilly fix is to find a crayon that closely matches the strip color and fill the scratch in with crayon. The fancy city way with big $$ is to replace the stripe. If its small enough maybe just try to ignore it?

My babe has a window repair after a strike caused a starburst and a 9" crack. Looks like hell from the inside. I figure Ill just replace in 3 or 4 years... maybe this stripe is the same kinda thing.
