what was it like to sit in it? did you feel like you were sitting high like on a dinning chair? or it's low like our present cars? i have a trans am 02 so we sit low.but still like it.i have sat in a challenger and it's like sitting in a baby's high chair too straight as a position...

I have ask this questions several times and never really got a straight answer, but can someone explain from the picture above, in the interior accessories column, what the "Body Color Lighted Trim Kit" is as it seems to me that these are the colored dash and door panel inserts we were expecting to see on this car.

I am now wondering and have for some time whether the IOM interior we have seen on the silver SS with the dash and door inserts has this accessory added. I actually like it better with the grey/black inserts. I have asked my sales person about it but never got an answer back from him either

Tag, Dragon, you saw the silver SS in person at Indy, was this question asked or did we just assume that the IOM interior got the orange dash and door inserts?

You can purchase this accessory to replace the plastic panels on an ambient-lighting equipped vehicle. It does NOT change the color of the ambient lighting itself...just the panels it glows on. so...if you pair up a yellow panel with the blue lighting...you're going to get a touch of green, etc, etc...

Whether it was this accessory, or a similar factory "edition"...I'm unclear on. However, the Inferno Orange interior WILL have Inferno Orange paneling and ambient lighting. That's part of the reason you pay extra.

like Dragoneye said, the GMPP kits just replace the colored panels & the IOM interior does come with orange panels & ABL.

this car has the black cloth panels, so i assume it's a 1SS that got a partial upgrade for the show.

I love seeing all the different color varations. Reminds me of the 80 Z/28 and how many stripe packages you could mix with the base colors. To this day I still come across one that I never knew was out there.
Thanks for the pics!!!

Maybe its the same one we've seen before, from our first pics of an IOM SS/RS, actually all of our IOM SS/RS pics may have been from the same car just a theory.
Im just happy i got leather because i love the stitching you get everywhere, especially on the armrest on the door and on the storage console/armrest. SO excited, take it in...we only have a few more quick months!

Anyone who has felt the manual shift knob, how does it feel?
I really dont like the design so im hoping to change that right away, like first day i get it

First thanks for posting these pics. I am so glad I ordered my IOM with orange leather and door panels. It's going to rock! in 20 to 30 years from now my IOM is going to be the car everyones will be looking for.

Thanks Dragon and Zebra, guess I'll have to wait and see how mine looks. If it is TOOO much orange I can always change them later on. Maybe get rid of the door panels and dash inserts and get the carbon trim kit, if it ever becomes available.

i still havent gotten an answer about the body color light trim kit. im hoping i can get red to go with my black car. i do know that the red ambient lighting is out of the picture, because it looked too similar to the orange. id like to do black door panels like the "black" SEMA car and have red lighting behind it.
