right now, I'm looking at painting some stripes, possibly new rims and exhaust. Otherwise, she is staying as she was built. As of right now!!

me too!! I did some interior cosmetic mods- performance wise I added slotted/cross drilled rotors.......cai is next and Loudmouth II axle back is after that.

Still (will catch hell for this i'm sure) the best thing i've ever done to this car is put those tiny little blind spot mirrors on.....best 4 bucks i ever spent!!! say what ya want.....I have ZERO blind spots!
I'm 5 ft 3 so I needed these before I hurt someone.

It's your car-nothing wrong with keeping it stock. Enjoy!

We made some minor modifications to the SST... Just something a little different.
But no matter what - the Camaro is one of the few cars that just plain rocks in stock form.

P.S. Wow katatonia, you have the absolutely wildest looking eyes ! Beautiful...

The only mod on my car is the heritage grill. I don't race so I don't need mods. I run stock tires, engine fluids, lights, etc. The only additional mod I would like to do is a rear diffuser. I considered painting until I seen a car in the area with the exact same scheme I was going to put on my car. So for now, I'll stick with what I have.

i feel like every car needs a little tweaking. maybe that is just a hotwire for your radar detector so you don't have to have nasty cords plugged in to your cigarette lighter all the time, maybe your stereo system lacks bass and you need a sub, etc. it's hard to find the most complete car ever from the factory unfortunately. every car maker skimps on at least one thing to make the car affordable and appealing in other aspects to their demographic, and then offers the next step up with more customization at a higher price, etc.

but i'm with the OP more than not. i had a 4th gen with no warranty, but still didn't mess with the internal engine. after all, intake/exhaust really aren't part of the engine itself. so, i think you'd be safe to upgrade those and get another 20hp out of it or so without voiding the warranty. necessary? no. harmless and worthwhile though? probably.

My LS is staying stock until it is paid off, and the Warranty expires. After that, who knows. My other vehicle is a 1991 Silverado that I am restoring, so my "mod budget" is going into restoration work on that for the next year or two. Once I get it where I want it, and the two criteria mentioned above are met, then I'll get going with Camaro projects.

I drive 40 miles to work each day, so one of the two vehicles has to be running perfectly at any given time. I can't chance both being "mid-project" and have to go to work without a running vehicle. I'm very much a do it yourself type of person, but car projects always take much longer then you initially anticipate when you are doing it all yourself.

So, for now the Camaro is staying stock and its maintenance kept up on at the Chevy garage so it can stay the perfect runner when the Pickup projects take longer than two days off to complete. When the pickup is in perfect running condition, and the Camaro can sit up on jack stands or whatever without the possibility of being forced to get it down to run it, then I'll feel I am ready to begin working on it.

There is nothing more painful than needing a vehicle to get somewhere and being forced to rush something just so you can drive it. That's no good, believe me. I had to drive the pickup once with a partial paint application, and that just meant I had to redo a lot of cleaning, taping and prep work as a result. I want to avoid that as much as possible.

Except for grille, spoiler, wheels, headers, exhaust, shifter, cold air kit, skip shift eliminator, and under hood airbrushing mine's all stock. Car show season is almost here!

OK

Seriously if you like stock I applaud you. That is the wonderful thing about this great car. Stock or Modded it is still the Coolest Around.

I'm staying stock for the most part. I'm only adding on GM Parts onto my vehicle, so I'm not sure that's considered Modding =x

Won't for awhile

425 HP is plenty for me but I think it's cool to see what other people are doing with their Camaros. Heck I don't even keep mine clean enough let alone doing mods.

Maybe in the future though. I'm not in a hurry to do anything right now.

Originally purchased in June 2009 still 100% stock today and have no plans on changing that (at least till the warranty is up) but who knows..It's not like it needs anything..
