+1 on Recaro. This is the one I am using. My daughter loves it.

Rear facing is what im worried about. The current one her sister passed along to us wont work with rear facing unless the set is all the way forward and the back rest is sticking straight up. So that wont really work. Wish i could test fit these some how. If someone has a recaro rear facing convertible one that wants to test fit it for me, that would be awesome

I have a chico rear facing and it does not allow the passenger seat to latch back in to place even with the seat slid all the way forward. Lucky that I don't have a passenger if I have the kid.

My SS allways rides with 2 car seats. My 2yr old comes home every day and walks up to the Camaro and says " Marwow I wana go fast!"

From a certified car seat tech...... Britax is your best bet.

Instead of buying 3 different seats... Get a convertable that covers 0-70 lbs. They're $$$, but worth every penny.

Quote:
BRITAX convertible car seats can be used rear facing from 5 to 40 pounds and forward facing from 1 year and 20 pounds, up to 70 pounds, depending on the seat. High-capacity convertibles allow your child to stay in a five-point harness through the toddler years.

Rear facing is very tight, put it on the passenger side, seat pushed all the way up , then you will need to place the baby in from drivers side, I have a 16 month old and a 3 year old, I have since moved the car seats out to the avalanche and they don't ride in the camaro. But + 1 on the 3year old likes to go fast daddy!!!!!

rear passenger seat shouldn't be a problem. Just move the front passenger seat up a bit and use the tether and attach it to the front passenger seat bracket.

Britax is also one of the only seats I know of that does rear facing tethering.

MAKE SURE YOU GET THE SEATS INSTALLED BY A TECH SO THEY'RE DONE CORRECTLY (They'll also show you)...

Check with police, fire departments and hospitals for techs and install assistance.

I've got a Graco Nautalis in the vert... but I take it out when my 2 year old isn't in the car.

It fits well, but her feet hit the front seat back (also have a plastic cover for that so her shoes aren't' on the leather.

for those who have seats already installed.. Please make sure there's no more than 1/2" (my rule) of movement in the car seat when installed.

And remember that water bottle that weighs about a pound???? At 60 MPH it weighs about 60 pounds and in a collision can cause injury and or death.
