Really? Do you miss the MR now? The Z06 doesn't have MR and doesn't its numbers practically superimpose themselves on the ZR1's? Dude, you're being a massive fanboy. Tone it down a few notches for god's sake. You and htron50 are out of control.

I believe that is a better way to look and seperate the two cars.

ZL1 = borderline GT / Supercar ride and feel

GT500 = borderline rocketship

This is not to say the ZL1 won't be fast or the GT500 won't handle or ride well. But I think while both cars will do both things well, they will really shine bright in one. JMHO!

Haha!

It might be a reputation that the Mustang has/had to YOU and a few other GM loyalists(on GM based car forums), but are you seriously gonna sit here and say that the gereral public as a whole, consider the Mustang not as a muscle car, but as a "chick car" or "secretary's car"?

Gimmie a freakin break man, seriously...

I seriously thought crap like this only comes from people who are young, and immature, but seeing how your obviously not young (but obviously immature) from your own statement of you being an "old geezer" you should be embarrassed. Grow up man, seriously...

I'm sure all the millions of guys who bought Mustang's over the years were thinking to themselve's, damn, i can't believe im actually considering buying this car. What will my friends think? I mean afterall, it's perceived as a "chick's car" on some Camaro forums.

That's about as dumb as me saying to someone, hey man, are you sure you wanna buy that Camaro? I mean you know it's considered to be only drivin by 'rednecks with mullets' on Mustang forums right?

Your post's are full of sir...

the newer Z06's have mangnetic ride as an option. That is why the new Z06 is so close to the ZR1 is it can be ordered wit the same brakes, same suspension, and it is lighter.

you take away the MR and the Brakes it will not come close to the ZR1.

you ford guys need to go out and ride in a ZR1 or something. It drives so nice for what it does it is retarded. Call it fanboy or something if you want I call it reality. the one I rode it was nicer ride than my Z06 or Z51 coupe or my 2001 mustang with full maximum motorsports suspention.

I have riden or diven alot of cars and the road feel of the ZR1 is awesome. by the time you make a stait axle mustang even get with in the same Zipcode of handling to a stock ZR1 the ride is noticable worse. The ZR1's downside is it just has borderline too much power at times for DOT tires.

Yes, I'd imagine he misses the magnetic ride in his '69 camaro. Regardless, it's a bad ass car, and I'd take on of those over a lot of cars. If I were driving that car, the ride quality wouldn't be my concern.

I know Top Gear is more of an entertainment show now, but they tested a Veyron Super Sport and it didn't do tremendously great for a car with 1184 horses. It got beat by the Aventador (700 hp), and the MP4-12C (592 hp). This just proves that you need more than an ungodly amount of power to go around turns.

it all depends on the roadcourse configuration as well.

I've heard the Top Gear (UK) road course is just a big figure 8. Seems like stupid power would be the king there. The Veyron was built mostly for bragging rights in power and straight line speed. The SuperSport even has a "showoff" launch mode where it will allow the driver to do a smokey 4-tire burnout on takeoff.

I'm not trying to start a fight or instigate, but where did you read 670HP confirmed? I have been reading about the '13 Convertible as details were just released and even in this brand new Mustang Magazine it still says 650HP.

http://www.mustangmonthly.com/featur..._13/index.html

I honestly would be interested to read about the 670HP as the '13 GT500 has genuinely caught my eye since photos and specs were released, it also has made me regret my decision on pre-ordering a ZL1 when I did. If the 670HP is true that only further pushes the dagger in my heart.

But one thing I will say is the MR will make a huge difference over the Billsteins whether it be as a daily driver or on the track. Because even though the Billsteins are adjustable you will be hard pressed to find any suspension react and function the way the 3rd Gen or even the 2nd Gen MR system functions. That is why Ferrari and Audi are also relying on such technology in there highest performing vehicles.

But a true purist and (or) old school driver may prefer the feel and functionality of the Billsteins, as I'm sure they are more than capable for the GT500, etc... But, as they always say to each there own.
