I think the 6th gen will just be a stylistic evolution of the 5th gen.
look at the mustang concept that came out a few years ago

I think they could sharpen the front a bit, make it a bit more aggressive, thin out the A-pillar while keeping that rear quarter look similar to the 1st gen. Maybe widen the fender "lip" and make it a bit more pronounced. I honestly hope they do something with different behind the front quarter panel, maybe push it in a little around the bottom of the fender-well but subtle. Needs a bigger spoiler too and redesigned tail lights. Overall, just subtle updates to the design, nothing drastic is what I think GM should do with the 6th Gen.

IMO - it doesn't need to change drastically. It just needs to "grow", and "develop"...

Very well said. I just had a hard time imagining it. I've done my own design (and 3D animation) but I guess it'll be the task of the professionals to figure this out.
